Lots of worry over the iPad mark amounted to… a sum of money for Fujitsu.

So the iPad trademark was acquired by Apple from Fujitsu. But there are others who have a product, or a site, with the iPad name in use. Like iPad.com which conveniently updated their copyright when the Apple iPad name dropped. I was watching that domain like a hawk too. Suddenly… it went from just having the login routine having a copyright claim of 2010 and a nice guilt message to encourage you to not lay claim to the ipad.com domain. Granted, it was first acquired in 1997 [which matches my oldest domain acquisition], and its expiration was not 2019 when I first looked at the domain registration.

While you are here, consider supporting cancer research and organizations that support families affected by cancer.
The following are not affiliated with Enero 6 Corp. or ipad.com, but are organizations you can consider donating to.
Cancer Support Community | Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center | American Cancer Society
Or, look for local community cancer organizations and support them!

I don’t know who they are. *shrug* I’m going to bet that this flips to the Apple store in short order on April 3, 2010.
